Example use cases of the XL Shoot
You’re launching a new makeup line with 10 products, half of which have multiple colour variants. You need standalone product photos for products without variants; group product photos for each listing with variants, plus individual variant photos with minimal background styling; model photos of the makeup being worn; plus styled group photos of all eye products, all lip product etc for each category page banner; plus evergreen shots of your hero products with your merch makeup bag.
You’re launching a multi-brand shop and have 90 products. Although all brands have supplied you with their own product photos, you want the first image of each product to look consistent with each other and match your shop’s branding. You need cutout product photos of all 90 products plus 10 styled photos of them in groups to use in paid ads, as your website banner and email newsletter with 3 different sets.
You have 30 new jewellery designs and need them in 3 angles: Whole product, detail shot, and being worn. You also need cover photos for each jewellery category, e.g. one of multiple necklaces to illustrate your necklace selection, one of multiple earrings to be your earring category cover, etc. Finally, you also need photos of your new special christmas gift packaging.
Process
It all starts with you filling in our Enquiry form — the more information you provide us with there, the more accurate our initial quote will be. We’ve done our best to outline our whole process below so you can know in advance how things will happen and what can impact your final invoice.
Pre-Production
Based on your answers to our enquiry form, we’ll outline an initial quote or jump on a call to understand your needs better, if necessary.
Once we’ve agreed on deliverables, we’ll send you a contract and need a 50% deposit paid to secure the shoot.
We’ll craft a unique creative concept for your shoot, based on your goals and brand. Once you’ve approved it, we’ll source backgrounds/props and plan the shooting day. We have a good library of props, including one-of-a-kind vintage ones, but depending on your needs we might need to source new ones. If you require fresh ingredients/flowers, etc, we’ll also include these in your invoice. You are welcome to send us any props you’d like us to use.
You’ll send us your products via a tracked delivery service of your choice. We might require up to 3 units of each product, depending on your photo needs (e.g. pouring a beverage into a cup, dripping/smearing a beauty product, etc).
Shoot Day
5. When the magic happens! This is when we execute the vision you approved during pre-production and take the photos in our studio, ensuring your products are showcased in their best light.
Post-Production
6. Before we finalise the retouching of your full set of images, we’ll need you to pay for the remaining quote value. Any deep retouching needed due to scratched product packaging or similar issues will result in additional fees.
7. We’ll then finalise your set of images and make them available for download in the sizes and resolutions you requested. Any re-shooting needed due to new requirements that weren’t specified in the creative brief will result in additional fees.
8. We’ll then send you your products back in the mail via a tracked service.
